river song is............... revealed in this post+ only 2 days to go
heyy viewers,
only 2 more days to dr who DAY OF THE MOON!
PS3'S ARE STILL DOWN!
here is the truth about river song or is it!
i personaly think its not true and they wouldn't reveal it so soon and before episode 4 titled... the doctor's wife who isnt river song in the ep., its Idris aka (surrane jones!)
Has the real identity of River Song been revealed?
According to Timeboy, who has provided many reliable Doctor Who filming reports, a scene from the Series 6 finale indicates that River Song is, in fact, Amy’s daughter:
“In episode 13, we see a version of River from Series 5 wearing the clothes from the end of Flesh and Stone. Amy greets her and asks how she is. River says she’s just climbed out of the Byzantium. “It was so much fun, wasn’t it mother?” (paraphrased, not the actual line), she remarks.
“River says, “What’s rule one with the Doctor; he lies”. River says she does too, how it’s been so hard seeing Amy, Rory and the Doctor, and knowing who she really is (Amy’s daughter) but not being able to say. Curiously, she also says she recognised the astronaut in 1969 but had to stay quiet.”
After all the build-up, it seems a bit disappointing and obvious, as it’s been speculated by fans already.
Steven Moffat has also said he has written fake scenes to keep it a secret, so perhaps this is one of them? Only time will tell.
Update:
Timeboy has revealed more details on last night’s filming (big spoilers!)-
River Song appears, in camo gear, and Amy and her cross check their diaries. River says she’s just climbed out of the Byzantium, “you were so young, didn’t have a clue who I was,” she says to Amy. She asks Amy where she is in the timeline, and and she says the Doctor is dead and that she’s sad. Not just because of that, because she killed Madame Kovarian. River says it’s fine, it was in an aborted time-line, so never happened. But it still happened for Amy, she remembers it.
Amy longs to see her Doctor again, but she can’t, he’s dead. River then says “Oh mother, he isn’t dead, don’t you want to know what he whispered in my ear?” Amy assumes it was his name. River says no it wasn’t his name. Amy says that the Doctor said he was about to whisper his name to River, but he clearly didn’t. He whispered something to stop the astronaut killing him. River reminds Amy about rule number one. The Doctor lies. So do I, she says. River says her life is one giant spoiler. She’s had to keep it from Amy that she’s her daughter, and keep secret about the astronaut: she knew all along it was going to shoot the Doctor. So Amy pushes her to say what the Doctor whispered in her ear before he went off to America to get shot. River grins and says “that man, always thinking so far ahead”.
She did do enough to earn that pardon in Flesh and Stone, and sees Amy after she is released from Stormcage.
River Song is also married to the Doctor.

In Memory of Elisabeth Sladen Pt I - We'll Miss You
The Sarah Jane Adventures brought Lis a whole new generation of fans who grew up to love her alien-busting adventures. The series was hugely popular with fans young and old and won this year's RTS Award for best children's drama.
Controller of CBBC Damian Kavanagh said tonight: "I'm deeply saddened and shocked by the news of Lis' untimely death. Lis brought joy, excitement and a sense of wonder to her many fans in her role as Sarah Jane Smith. She was adored by our young audience and I know all of them will miss her as much as I will."
The creator of The Sarah Jane Adventures Russell T Davies said: "I absolutely loved Lis. She was funny and cheeky and clever and just simply wonderful. The universe was lucky to have Sarah Jane Smith; the world was lucky to have Lis."
Steven Moffat, Doctor Who's Lead Writer and Executive Producer said: "'Never meet your heroes' wise people say. They weren't thinking of Lis Sladen. Sarah Jane Smith was everybody's hero when I was younger, and as brave and funny and brilliant as people only ever are in stories. But many years later, when I met the real Sarah Jane - Lis Sladen herself - she was exactly as any child ever have wanted her to be. Kind and gentle and clever; and a ferociously talented actress, of course, but in that perfectly English unassuming way. There are a blessed few who can carry a whole television show on their talent and charisma - but I can't think of one other who's done it quite so politely. I once showed my son Joshua an old episode of Doctor Who, in which Lis appeared.
"'But that's Sarah Jane,' he said, confused 'In old Doctor Who. From years ago. How come she always look exactly the same?' It's not a comfort today, of course, but children will still be saying that fifty years from now."
Keith Jones, Director, BBC Cymru Wales, said: "The Sarah Jane Adventures has been one of the most successful children's programmes on television in recent years - and without Elisabeth Sladen it would not have happened. A brilliant presence on screen and on set, she brought the excitement and energy of the Doctor Who family of programmes, of which we are very proud at BBC Wales, to a whole new generation. She will be missed by all at BBC Wales who worked with her."
Roger Carey, who represented Lis for many years, said, "She was not just a client, but a dear friend. She was so positive about life and her natural energy was intoxicating. She couldn't believe her luck when her career was resurrected in her own series."
The Doctor Who News Page has reported further condolences from across the Web, mostly Twitter.
John Barrowman, who worked with Sladen on Doctor Who, posted on twitter: "I loved my time on the Tardis with her. I am proud to have worked with such an icon of the sci fi world, your Dr Who family are very sad and will miss you and your beautiful smile."
Mark Gatiss Doctor Who writer and actor, posted on twitter: "A tear, Sarah Jane?' Farewell to the wonderful, irreplaceable Lis Sladen."
Paul Cornell, Doctor Who writer tweeted: "Very sorry to hear about Elisabeth Sladen, a great actor, special to everyone of my generation and a whole new one."
Colin Baker: Very sad to hear of the death of Lis Sladen. Great sympathy for her husband and daughter. She was far too young to be lost to them.
Gareth Roberts: Can't really find the words. Goodbye, our wonderful wonderful Lis.
Matthew Graham: Sarah Jane was a childhood pal, a childhood crush, a childhood hero. And she never stopped being. Goodbye Mistress. Xxx
Lizo Mzimba: Very sad news that Elisabeth Sladen has died.
Nicola Bryant: I'm so sorry to have to say I've just had a call to say Liz Sladen has died. It's too much to take in, but it's true. How tragically young.
Phil Ford: Sarah Jane was my Companion as a kid. To later know Lis and write for her and share a laugh with her was a privilege.
Joe Lidster: The last time I saw Lis. http://bit.ly/9uP9QJ The interview shows her fantastic sense of humour & how much she cared about the show. Lovely.
James Moran: Without Elisabeth Sladen, the world is a less magical place. Can't believe she's gone. You'll be missed, Sarah Jane. So much.
Murray Gold: Elisabeth Sladen enchanted three generations, never seeming to age, tire or cloud. RIP
Mark Ayres: Elisabeth Sladen, the actress who played Sarah Jane Smith; friend and colleague. We are in shock. Love to Brian and Sadie. R.I.P. xx
Ed Stradling: V sorry to hear the shock news about Lis Sladen. . . .
Toby Hadoke: I hate today, unbelievable. My eyes are stinging with tears. My children will be devastated tomorrow. By God she was good. RIP Lis Sladen.
Tom Spilsbury: I feel utterly drained. Farewell, Lis - I'm so sorry I didn't have the chance to say goodbye. We'll do you proud in DWM, I promise.
Benjamin Cook: Lovely lady. Met her many times over the years. She was always so kind. Heartfelt condolences to Brian & Sadie. Such sad news.
Clayton Hickman: Will miss Lis Sladen more than I can say. A beautiful person and an outstanding actor. Oh it's all too sad for words.
Gary Gillatt: A hand, tight on your arm; anxious, uncertain. But you're amazing, you would say. Thank you, she'd reply, are you sure? Yes, Lis. Amazing.
Stephen Fry: What terribly sad news about Elisabeth Sladen - her Sarah Jane was part of my childhood. Deepest sympathy to her family.
Noel Clarke #SARAHJANESMITHLIVES because Elisabeth Sladen made her Great. Liz, you were awesome and will be missed
Neil Gorton Big sadness. Rest in Peace

Graske's Corner:
Liz in your words "life on earth can be an adventure too, you just need to know where to look", and you knew where to look, and you showed it off, your always with me, My sarah jane smith
RabidPuppyDesign:
I refuse to belive it, its spread through the internet like wild fire! and as far as im aware their was no info or anything on Lis having cancer before this. Maybe im just being stupidly Optomisitc :-( You will be missed sorely :'(
Combom himself:
damn, i never saw that coming! RIP
Collin Kelley:
Absolutely devastated by this news. Part of my childhood has gone with her. I hope they were able to get a few episodes of the next series of SJA completed so we can see them. I had no idea she had cancer, which makes it even more of a shock. Gutted.
Cody:
I am sitting at my desk at work, and literally just started to cry enough that I had to excuse myself.
There are no words. <3
seanw500:
Today I watched Whatever Happened To Sarah Jane on CBBC, where it shows what life would be like without Sarah Jane... Now it's all too real :'(
newelectricmuse:
Goodbye Sarah Jane...loved by fans of the original Doctor Who and by a whole new generation of children who made her own series such a success. Sincere condolences to Lis Sladen's family - I hope it helps to know that many will be crying with you tonight, and even more tomorrow when Sarah Jane's young fans wake up to hear this sad news.
Rest in peace Lis.
The Dark Chronicles:
RIP Elisabeth, very sad news. I would like to see the series somehow honour her or have a small nod to this news. Either in the main series or in SJA. It wouldn't take much, it would have to be one scene. Like the doctor, amy and rory are somewhere else and the doctor just "knows" somethings wrong so takes the Tardis to her house or something and theres the funeral car outside and then amy's like who was she? And he's like "the greatest woman i never knew" x x
Mike Jackson:
When Tom Baker first strode across a TV screen when I first discovered Doctor Who, Liz Sladen was right behind him speaking sense to silliness and I was in love with her ever since. Saying she was my favorite seems like something she'd chide us for like, "Hey, give the next girl a chance, you'll like her too!" because Liz was always invariably described as that sort of generous person. And she'd have been right; so many favorites, but she was the tops among a sea of them.
I can't make sense, it's all too sudden - terrible things should never happen on a Tuesday, but they do...
richardwatts:
Devastating news. Thank you Lis, for so many remarkable and wonderful episodes of fantastic television, and for one of the best characters in the world. My deepest sympathies to your family, as well as your television family at Bannerman Road.
quaint singularity:
I'm just so devastated by this news! Elizabeth Sladen is one of the most beautiful people on the planet, inside and out. She will be missed so much, all over the world. The worst part is, you know that this is someone who had so many more stories to tell, so much talent to share with all of us. I hope they address the death of both her and Nicholas Courtney in the show. Sarah Jane and the Brigadier were such cornerstones of the Doctor Who universe, and we all feel their loss so deeply.
liminalD:
I just can't stop crying... there will be so many people out there just absolutely shattered, she was a great actress and more importantly, a truly beautiful human being... the world is truly a darker place without her in it.
Controller of CBBC Damian Kavanagh said tonight: "I'm deeply saddened and shocked by the news of Lis' untimely death.

Matt Smith's Mini US Diary
Wednesday 16 November 2010, Valley of the Gods, Utah
I arrive later than Karen and Arthur [Darvill], because I had to go on Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show in LA. He's such a huge fan. He was so welcoming. I think it's the most fun I've ever had on a chat show.
Everyone in LA tells me there's nothing here in Utah. It's pitch black, so I can't see. I just feel the long road lull as we wind through endless American desert. Utah has to wait till morning.
And boom - from my motel, I look out and see the red-coloured desert, and I'm in awe. It's majestic. I go get pancakes. Karen is on the make-up wagon. "Oh my God, oh my God, it's amaaazzzing," she buzzes. I agree.
As the day winds on and we bemoan our jetlag, I'm excited about this afternoon. Karen is being chased by a helicopter, and we have big black stately cars kicking up the dusty desert in a chase. This is where Forrest Gump stopped running, where Indiana Jones found the Temple of Doom, and now where the Doctor faces his darkest hour.
But for now - I'm sprawled on the bonnet of the coolest car [a bright red 1959 Edsel Villager Station Wagon], wearing a Stetson. Yeah, the Doctor wears a Stetson now. Stetsons are totally cool.
It was my idea to lie on the car, by the way. The script said the Doctor was leaning against it, but the Doctor is always leaning, it's such a Doctor thing to do, so I thought, "A car this cool? I have to lie on it!" To my surprise, they didn't say no.

Why are Daleks frightening?
Back in 1967 the Doctor was tasked with identifying the Human Factor, which was to ultimately revealed as a plan to unveil the Dalek Factor (The Evil of the Daleks). But what is the Dalek Factor in reality? Fan wisdom states that the Daleks are the first of the Doctor's adversaries to warrant the "behind the sofa" moniker, but now a Cambridge academic has written a paper on what he believes really makes the Doctor's greatest enemy so frightening.
Doctor Robin Bunce has researched how the Daleks have been used over the years and the perceived effect on viewers, eventually arriving at the conclusion that our 'fear' of them is based upon how they challenge us on what it means to be human ourselves:
The reason the Daleks are evil is because we recognise that they were once better. They are the nightmare future we dread.
According to their back-story, once they were capable of genuine emotion and real moral good. Now they are sexless, heartless brains, shut up in machines incapable of intimacy, who have forgotten what it means to laugh and no longer think of themselves as individuals. We recognise the Daleks as evil because they have lost all that we hold most dear.

Only 4 days to go till the premier of Doctor Who so I've posted something which I just noticed right now
In Sarah Jane Adventures series 1 The Lost Boy Part One the Pharos Institute was filmed the same place as Doctor Who series 1 episode 4 and 5 with the Slitheen and thats also a connection to the episodes because the episodes both feature the slitheen.
Because inside the Pharos Institute is the same place as where the Slitheen dressed up as the mayor of London was talking to a man who got turned into a Slitheen and he kept on farting.

Karen Gillan Interview in the Telegraph
Karen Gillan was interviewed in the previous issue of Telegraph, where she spoke about everything Who, what Matt Smiths involvement is in the series and trailers, and what she wants to achieve from Doctor Who.
For the full interview go here and the source of this is thanks to Combom.
“I ask if there’s an actor whose career she particularly admires. Her answer is refreshingly offbeat. 'Robin Williams. I want a career like his! I want to be like Robin Williams, really. It’s all the different characters he does, all the different voices.’ What about actresses? 'You know whose career I really liked? Brittany Murphy. I thought she played quite interesting characters. She was in Girl Interrupted, and in 8 Mile she had this griminess to her, this edge, which I quite liked.’
Is Gillan yearning for edgier roles? Compared to Doctors, companions can have short shelf-lives – there have even been hints that Amy Pond is to be killed off, as a mid-series cliffhanger. She says she would like to do theatre, either contemporary 'or something really bizarre like Eugรจne Ionesco’.
Matt Smith recently veered off-piste to play Christopher Isherwood in a BBC Two drama, to much acclaim. Gillan will shortly play Jean Shrimpton for the BBC Four film We’ll Take Manhattan about the 1960s style icon’s first encounter with David Bailey, at a Vogue photo-shoot in New York. Miniskirts and it-girls? It’s not very Robin Williams, but if anyone can pull it off Karen Gillan can. Those character parts may have to wait.”

Doctor Who Team Talk About the Silence
Steven Moffat talks about the Silence and what he thinks about them and where they got their idea from to create them.
But how has this effect been so effectively executed?
Steven Moffat said that he thinks the history of the silence will make people more involved.
There was also asked how to you make such simple creatures be feared by everyone so much?
"If I’d seen them when I watched TV as a boy, I’d have had to peep through my fingers. They are going to become as iconic as the Doctor’s most enduring foes, the Daleks, and even more dangerous and harder to exterminate. . . .
"They are pretty repulsive, but it’s their history that will really chill people. They could turn up anywhere and everywhere, and they’ve been undermining and controlling us for thousands of years but we don’t realise it."
But how has this effect been so effectively executed?
Their look has been carefully created for maximum scare-factor, with dark suits, white shirts and black ties made by Doctor Who costume designer Barbara Kidd. The suits, in particular, are a nod to the Men In Black movies, which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as smartly attired U.S. Government agents fighting alien invaders.
The Silence’s hands and heads — created by Neill Gorton, principal designer at Millennium Effects, the company which make all the Doctor Who monsters — are the only features that
betray the fact they are aliens. Made from Latex foam, the hands are bony-white and crumpled, while the triangular faces have no mouths, but human eyes sunk deep into the skull with traces of ears and a nose.
Steven Moffat said that he thinks the history of the silence will make people more involved.
"Humans will have been subconsciously aware of The Silence for many centuries, and that awareness will have manifested itself in paintings such as The Scream."
There was also asked how to you make such simple creatures be feared by everyone so much?
"Doctor Who has the ability to play upon people’s fears, often carried from childhood. What made that sound under the bed, that shadow at the back of a cupboard, that sound on the floorboards at night?"

New Doctor Who Yeti
According to the Eye of Horous's character options internal source, the merchandise company will be releasing a toy of the Patrick Troughton and a robot Yeti by the end of the year, and will be made as seen in the 1967 episode The Web of Fear.
This is following the successful sales of the Master and Axon alien from the classic episode The Claws of Axon.
The detail and sculpture of the classic toys are amazing considering how old the episodes where but the one thing they could of done to improve the Yeti is to give it glowing eyes.

Karen Gillan Talks to MTV Geek
Karen Gillan talks to MTV Geek telling them that Rory is the one for Amy,
Karen Gillan admits that there are moments between her and the Doctor (Matt Smith),
She also gives us a preview of what is going to happen this season,
"Rory is the one for Amy. She just didn't realize it at the time...Amy with the Doctor, what would that be like? She's just as mad as he is!"
Karen Gillan admits that there are moments between her and the Doctor (Matt Smith),
"She does love him in a way...but more than in a romantic way. There's a really deep connection between two people that's hard to define. Because sometimes they're like brother and sister, and sometimes she might hit on him...and sometimes she acts like his mum, and he's a child, and vice-versa. There's so many layers to their relationship, and it's quite undefinable...but we're going to see it defined in the new series, definitely."
She also gives us a preview of what is going to happen this season,
"...something's going to happen to do with the marriage (between Amy and Rory) that's going to change the course of everything in this series, and it's going to get very dark..."

Torchwood: Miracle Day Poster and Trailer
Here is the synopsis for Torchwood: Miracle Day from the official website.
"One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging — they get hurt and sick — but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.
With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month's time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?", he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.
“Torchwood,” premiering July 8, stars John Barrowman (“Torchwood”, “Desperate Housewives”) as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles (“Torchwood”, “Little Dorrit") as Gwen Cooper, Mekhi Phifer (“ER”, “Lie to Me”) as Rex Matheson and Bill Pullman (While You Were Sleeping, Independence Day) as Oswald Danes.
And now here is the trailer.

MTV Geek Talk to Matt Smith
Read the interview Matt Smith had with MTV Geek where he talks about the upcoming series of Doctor Who.
On the relationship between Amy Pond and The Doctor:
"The Doctor will always love Amy, but he loves her the way you would a friend, a best friend."
"I think the Doctor loves Amy Pond, he's capable of loving people, but he's an alien...he doesn't see love in the conventional way we see it."
On the new villain, The Silence:
"I think The Silence is one of the greatest monsters in Who history!"
On the essential quality of what makes Doctor Who great:

On the uniqueness of the Doctor role:
"It's a bit like Hamlet: every actor has a different version."
On returning for Season Seven:
"I don't know, I'm going to sit down and see with Mr. Moffat what happens after this particular season. I'd certainly like to come back, but…we have to wait and see I guess. Watch this space."
On reaching out to American audiences:
"We really think that Doctor Who is a universal idea -- so we hope that people in the States pick it up and enjoy it!"
